A key part to the dismantling is the removal of the glass.
We need to get this right as we will likely be reusing some of the panes and the aftermarket is light on replacements, especially the rear quarters.
So to do this properly the removal was carried out at ASM by experts Cornerstone Technologies.
These guys have decades of experience amongst them and it showed as we were treated to Gold standard task delivery from Mark, Dave and Lee who expertly removed with care all the glass so that we can continue with the teardown.
The process was intriguing to witness with some tricky sections requiring patience and an eye for detail and care and thanks to Cornerstone we managed to extract very ‘old’ glass without any drama.
As #148 gradually comes apart we are given an insight into its build and life and albeit that it has been off the road for many years her condition is so far being exposed as good, a testament to the care of Stuart, the cars owner.
More to come.
