Big day for #148 18th September 2024 gets its first 3D scan.
This is a key process to digitise the car so that we can carry out the reverse engineering and also create the digital twin from which we can use as a baseline for the visualisation and build but also an archive that can be used to create more RS500’s.
The scan was carried out by our scan partners T3DMC specialists in 3D scanning for not only automotive applications but any opportunity that requires a digital version.
These guys spent all day generating data for exterior and exterior and our thanks go to Keith, Neal Adam and Tom from T3DMC for their expertise and support for Vision148.
We will be scanning other parts as the car goes through its dismantling phase.
